Kirsten got involved with associations, advocacy groups and the non-profit sector broadly in the late '80s and has never looked back. An experienced generalist manager in the NFP sector, Kirsten has brought her organisational and leadership experience to Vinnies, NCOSS and SDN Children's Services since moving to Sydney in 1994. Psychometric testing for Kirsten's first salaried job (at NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs) confirmed her as "a numbers person" and she enjoys empowering managers and Boards of non-profit organisations to understand their financial position.
In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys bushwalking and baking.
With over ten years of experience in business administration in both commercial and not-for-profit sectors Valentyna is a motivational leader for our accounting team. Prior to joining AFG she spent eight years working for the peak body for health and community services in NSW.
Valentyna holds a degree in Physics and Certificates in Human Resource Management and Governance and Risk Management.
Valentyna likes to hike, travel and picnic with friends and family.
Glenn is a Chartered Accountant and started his career with Deloitte. He has held senior finance roles including Australian CFO of Aon and recently working in the community housing sector. Currently he is Director/Treasurer of a local community youth arts co-operative. Glenn has a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Financial Services Institute.
His passions are his family and playing golf... badly.
Jane holds an Accounting and Finance degree from the University of Auckland and became a chartered accountant in 2012. She previously worked as an accountant in a business advisory role for more than 6 years in New Zealand where she provided financial services and supported clients with Xero.
In her spare time, Jane enjoys sports and feasting with friends.
Starting out as a Community Development Worker, Paula has a history of working in the community sector in Western Sydney. She has held leadership roles over the past 20 years, managing a range of programs and activities across diverse target groups and communities. She has experience in working directly with Management Committees and Boards, and also as a Board member. Paula has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy and Sociology and a Masters in Community Management.
Outside work, Paula enjoys gardening, reading and bingeing on Netflix.
Carol has been an accountant for nearly 10 years brings with her substantial experience in management accounting and systems implementation in a commercial context. She has a keen interest in harnessing financial data to inform business decisions and drive performance. Carol has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
In her spare time Carol enjoys checking out groovy restaurants and rap music.
CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER
Darren enjoys helping people, problem solving and seeing projects through to completion. With a successful career in customer service he has gained a wealth of experience working in both customer facing and leadership roles. Over this time, meeting and helping people from all different walks of life has brought him the most job satisfaction.
On the weekends you would find Darren on the cycleways, bushwalking trails or catching up with family.
