Meet our new staff

We are excited to have more lovers of the non-profit sphere joining our team. Read below to learn a little about them.

PAULA CHEGWIDDEN
Account Manager

What drew you to Accounting for Good?
I was interested to work strategically and financially across a range of organisations as a change from being embedded in one organisation. When I started I was really impressed by the IT solutions being used and the calm and organised workplace.

Previous experiences?
My background is in the community sector in leadership roles mainly in Western Sydney. I have worked in organisations providing a wide range of programs so have experience in children’s services, youth work, aged care, community development and working with diverse communities.

Favourite season and why?
Don’t have a favourite season - love a day with a beautiful blue sky when I can sit in the garden and love a rainy day when I can stay inside and read and drink tea.

CAROL TRAN
Account Manager

What drew you to Accounting for Good?
I’ve always had the ambition to work for/in the not for profit sector. AFG was the opportunity to take my commercial experience and skills and apply them to organisations that were looking to make a positive change in the community.

Previous experiences?
My skills were developed working in the commercial and business services space. I have previously worked in the retail, engineering and IT life-cycle management industries.

Ultimate three-course meal?
Tacos from that food truck in LA, chicken and rice that my cousin bought from a street cart in Vietnam and chocolate cake that a friend’s mum made us when we were 16.

DARREN MILLER
Customer Service Manager

What drew you to Accounting for Good?
I feel it is rewarding to work for a business that exists to help and support organisations that are doing some great things in the community. One thing that stood out to me was the flexible and personal ways in which we work collaboratively with our customers to meet their needs.

Why are you interested in working with non-profit organisations?
Working with NFP’s allows me to feel inspired by a diverse range of innovative organisations who are making a difference in people’s lives. It is rewarding to feel that you are contributing to a small part of something bigger.

Ultimate three-course meal?
Bruschetta, Grilled Barramundi (with Crispy Skin) & Chocolate Lava Cake (the chocolate has to ooze out).
